Heather from idée emailed me to tell me about their new image search engine TinEye. It is great for finding exact or similar copies of an image you give the engine.
Before I explain in writing, let’s be web2.0 and you check out a video about how TinEye works here.
screenshot: crawling a popular image of my own (which has actually been copied more than five times, but I didn’t even know about some of the ones displayed.)
So far, the company has crawled almost 500 million sites and is working on getting all of the web in there.
